Wouldn't with / Wouldn't without

Post by saxman »

I saw this on another forum and thought it was interesting.

What one hunting item/product/gadget would you NEVER be caught in the woods with and what item/product/gadget would you NEVER be caught without.

For me
I would NEVER be caught in the woods with one of those BIG RAMBO SURVIVAL KNIVES.
You can usually tell a new guy by the size and type of knife he carries.

I wouldn't be caught without some sort of communication or signaling device in case of trouble.

How about you?

This could get interesting.

I would never be caught in the woods without my backpack. (Even in summer doing food plots) and I would never be in the woods with a beer. Don't ask me why....I like my beer but would never bring one into the woods.

I would not be caught in the woods with head to toe hunter orange- hunter orange in NYS is not required. Matter of fact i would prefer to hunt w/o any orange. Only item that I would not be caught w/o is my hunting license. :P  :)

Never without a compass, forgot it once and almost spent the night.

Never with hunters who drink in the bush.

I would never be caught in the woods without my cushion. It's a seat that's adjustable by a air valve on the side. It has a zipper pocket that's large enough for a water bottle and it has a shoulder strap. If I scout I have a dry soft place to sit. If I'm hunting, I never have to sit on a cold or wet seat.

I would never be caught with skunk cover scent

I'd never be caught with:

A firearm or bow I haven't personally familiarized myself with.

I'd never be caught without:

Toilet paper. :P

Trail marker
Tracking aid
Firestarter

and ...

Well, you know ...

I can do without a backpack full of junk that I'll never use :x

I cannot do without my.......Tyler

Seriously, I would have to say that my cell phone & a small flashlight go with me every time weather it's a just quick stroll or a all day hunt in a stand. The above statement is true though, I usually won't go without Tyler :D .

Sorry Grizz, special order, straight from the TOP  . I cringe when I think about him going to college even though he wants to stay close to home (Chapel Hill), it will be a tough time for me but well worth it in the long run for him  .
God Bless !!!!!!!!!
