YUMMMMMMMM!!! Peanut butter and chocolate.

Don't know about peanut butter, but my father-in-law keeps mentioning chocolate chip cookies. As a joke. But maybe????

Clear the ground around the place you put the peanut butter so you can tell if it is a deer eating it. I found it works really well!
Some people just like stepping on rakes

If I use PB as a bait it will likely attract my 6 year old son - he is a PB fiend!

I expect that many of you already know this, but for those who might not, here's a useful peanut butter bait tip from Grizz! :D

If you're interested in using peanut butter to attract deer or bear:

Use a putty knife or spatula or paint-stirring stick (you get the idea) and work the peanut butter into the rough bark of a tree
... there's no better way to make it last ... the critters and birds have to work much harder to get it.

Thank You all for the input. I have decided to stay away from Peanut Butter sounds like trouble to me, with all the unwanted critters. In Tennessee we have to pull all feeders and feed 1 month before season any way.

I know ants, bugs, bluejayz, coons, and chipmunks love it.

I had and ole timer tell me he used PB to cover some of his scent. He would wipe it on a few trees near his stand. He said that the deer were more interested in the PB then him.

There's a new usage, no need for ScentLoc, just wipe your clothes down with some Jif and if you get get caught in the wild you can just lick your clothes for food. A classic win-win situation.

Seriously though, glad you made it. I know of a kid who died from it when I was younger. Its a very serious allergy.
