I looked out the back door and he was eating beside my driveway. Not no big buck. but for around here he is not to bad.

"Trophy" status is relative depending on region. Nice is nice, and big is big, wherever you are ... if it's nice or big where YOU live, then you have a "trophy" ... if you think of them that way!

granted he's not huge, but he would be a shooter here also. As grizz said, it depends on your area. Somewhere like in Ohio, he would need a few more years
Now if he's nowhere anyone can hunt, then it would be possible to let him grow. But a trophy is always in the eye of the shooter
if you choose to hunt him, goodluck
he's a nice buck and good picture of him also

I hunted in Jackson Co. W.VA for several years and this will be a great buck for that area in a couple years.
