Haven't hunted with a CB yet so will be watching this thread.

FWIIW, verticle, rifle and pistol hunting I use a hand muff. Mine is very old and has a very convient storage pouch sewed onto the muff. I've found many benifits to using the muff and no drawbacks worth mentioning.

Take care...

I often use a hand warmer/muff and deer skin gloves.
Some people just like stepping on rakes

I just use the cloth camo gloves and a hand warmer. Not that cold in Tennessee though.

I use a polypro liner glove and keep my hands in a muff with hand warmers.

I've suffered with cold hands on more occasions than I can count... UNTIL I bought a "muff". As mentioned in a previous post, there are a few small set backs, but nothing to write about.
Now if I could find one for my feet

I usually buy several pairs of brown jersey gloves when I find them on sale. That covers 99% of my outdoor needs. For those super-cold days I have a pair of insulated gloves, but it's pretty well impossible to shoot (or set a trap) with them on. I just wear a pair of the cheap jersey gloves under them, and pull them off when I need to use my hands.

I hate bulky gloves and not being able to really feel the trigger so I like to use shooting style gloves.

If it's too cold for the gloves alone I'll use a muff with a hand warmer tucked into it.

Cabelas has some nice insulated shooting style gloves (sale priced right now):

I have trouble finding them small enough - even the small size usually has fingers that are too long for me - need to do some sewing to adjust them to fit.

When it gets really cold I just use a muff and thin gloves so I can feel everything and not funble around with those heavy insulated gloves. Just a habit I got into from years of bowhunting.
Life goes by quick - so don't think about going hunting - get out there and DO IT!
