Where do you put your bow quiver?

Post by ninepointer »

Noticed in another thread that a lot of hunters say they remove their quiver from their bow once they get to their stands. For those of you in treestands, where/how do you put/hang your quiver after you remove it?

I have a hook right beside my head on the tree.. it bascially snugs the tree when in place so it doesnt stand out.

wamart sells those red hooks in packs of 12 and those work great for 6bucks.. beats paying 3 bucks each for the bow hanger things

I usually just throw it on the ground on my right side, within arms reach.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

I'm rarely in a stand but usually place mine within arms reach of me on the ground.

I never have the quiver on the bow, when I am walking in, I strap it to my pack, and hold one arrow just in case. Once on stand, I put the pack at my feet.

Always accessible and takes away any and all vibrations on the bow.

Several years ago I tried the utility hook method, but I accidently bumped my quiver and it fell to the ground. While contemplating for a minute whether to climb down and get it, 2 does happend by. Good thing I stayed in the tree; got my first crossbow deer that way :D

What about those of you with Groundpounder mounts; who hunts with their quiver on?

I have a small string tied on mine and I tie it to the tree stand or hang it from a nail above my head if I own the tree. I think it just looks like some limbs and leafs to a deer. I only kill dumb deer anyway, you know the one that make so much noise they wake me up.

I'm never in a tree so I am like the rest but I take one arrow out and lean it against the blind's wall point down.

I do. I really don't see much point in taking it off. It's not in the way while it's on and it's readily accessible should I have to reload.
