Take a cotton ball and go over the limbs to make sure there are no "splinters" on the limbs.
Check DBs to make sure they are still straight.
Check your string carefully to see if there is any damage (if it's the factory supplied excel string (endless loop) check the loops for serving separation or gaps caused by the string material stretching.
If all looks OK - it probably is OK!

Welcome to the club. Membership is usually free, unless you use a fff string. Then you might have to pay some dues.

I have dry fired a couple of times  the only time i splintered a limb was when i used the fast flight flemish string.

At the risk of sounding like an endless commercial, I firmly believe that all new crossbow owners should invest in the NGSS system to prevent damage to their new prized possession should a dry fire occur. A Boo string is also a "must have" in my opinion.

I think the logistics of this proposal will prevent this from ever happening but wouldn't it be cool if Boo, NewGuy, Groundpounder, munch, crazyfarmer, etc etc got together and offered a package that incorporated all of their fine products and offered the package for sale to the new crossbow owner.

They could call it The Forum Package and it would be one stop shopping for all the new owners.

Of course for a small royalty of $1.52 per sale they could call it the "Mike P Package" and I would include a map and GPS coordinates showing the location of buck 52.
