That's amazing.

 We lost ours on the 13th. She was 15. Buried her outside the bedroom window where she used to sleep inside. We tell her good night still. She had brought us a lot of pleasure.

Both of my labs have been gone now for twelve years.

They are buried here on my property.

My wife and I still talk to them when we pass their grave sites.

They are amazing friends. I can come home and have had a bad day, not even say a word, and my dog knows it. She'll come over and just curl up beside me and give me the "puppy eyes". :D
