If my memory serves me, 1st year made 2002/3, last 2005/6. In 2005 the Max & Phoenix were introduced with the angled risers. Soon thereafter, the other models were made with angled risers, and the straight risers were phased out.

Digger was our forum expert on this stuff.

Doug mentions in this thread from May of 2008, that the machined riser came out in the year 2000.

Bob, you must of gotten a "mix & match" model. The magtipped Exocet 15" 165# I bought in October 2001, although it might of been made earlier in the year, had a straight cast riser. By the time machined risers were available the Exocet had a 15 1/2" powerstroke and 175# draw weight.

I know for a fact that the straight CNC "machined riser" definitely was not available in 2000, the last year that all Excaliburs still had carved tip limbs, and powerstrokes/draw weights of 14"/150#, 15"/165# & 16"/185# for the Vixen, Exocet & Exomag respectively.
One must remember that even though carved limbs models might of been sold after 2000, they were old stock legacy models.

Doug was saying that 2002 was the second year, in other words 2001 was the first. I believe Doug was mistaken. The first year I saw the machined risers was March 2002.

I believe my bow must have been made in 2001 as it has 15.5" draw length, cast riser, and mag tip limbs.
