I don't use cover scent. To the deer you would simply smell like a human with fox or coon pee on you. Best just use the wind to your advantage and keep your odor minimal.

I would not use Fox scent if I was hunting from a tree. :P
I think no scent is best, hunt into the wind.

That is all I use also.

I pin one circular disc to my hat and loop two around my climber when I have reached the height I want to hunt.

I buy 50 of those every season... yes I said 50:-P I get them in bulk for about 5bucks a can. I love them but you have to use them right. They work best in bottoms as a cover scent downwind during the rut. I only get the doe in estrus ones and use during the pre-post rut..

Ive got 3 bucks on the wall from using them.. so they work well for me. Out of 50 cans, 75% of them bring in bucks for me. Normally young bucks though.

Mike, you cant go wrong with dirt;) hunt a field thats just been plowed and watch how the deer come to the fresh dirt smell;) I use to use pine scent, but if its no pines around that rules that out. Dirt is dirt... :D

Dirt & Pine wafers - Only.

I hunt in the pine belt region of southern Mississippi where storm-downed pine trees are a frequent occurrence. I hang Dirt & Pine wafers around my ground blinds.

If I lived a little farther north in the state, I would use Dirt and Oak or Acorn wafers.
