Gold Tip Lazer 2 Pro
Has anyone tried the Gold Tip Lazer 2 Pro? Are they worth the extra $25 over the regular Lazer 2 arrows?
If it breaks replace it with a bigger piece of steel
In my opinion they're not. They're no better than the Pro Elite that they make for Tenpoint, which also cost more than they're worth.

X2 They are .003 straighter than the $54.00 lasers, not worth it.

Is the "straightness" measured over 20", 22" or possibly a longer length that applies to both CB and VB shafts?
For hunting arrows I can't see the tighter tolerance shafts making any physical difference in hunting results. However, if someone thinks or believes it makes more than a dimes worth of difference than perhaps for them it does.
Take care...

X2 .003" is the thickness of an average human hair and 2.0 gr ain't much.mdcrossbow wrote:Lazar 2's are awesome arrows , there is no need for the pro's
I've gotten 1-1.5" groups at 50 w/ the cheapies that I paint crested and fletched and I'm far from an expert at either.
I wish they still offered the old thicker walled GT's not that I'm not happy w/ the current ones, just liked the added 25 gr.

No doubt ... having killed deer with Port Orford Cedar arrows (any dozen of which don't come close to being as straight as the cheapest aluminum or carbon arrows), I think many hunters get just a little carried away with such technicalities.awshucks wrote:X2 .003" is the thickness of an average human hair and 2.0 gr ain't much.mdcrossbow wrote:Lazar 2's are awesome arrows , there is no need for the pro's

If we'd all work on our woodsmanship as hard as we do in getting the best "equipment", then we'd all kill a lot more deer!

They are not worth it in my opinion either. For the price, I cant justify it. You will not see any noticeable difference shooting them. But if you want to be able to say "Hey, I use Gold Tip Pro" then okay.
