I could see it in my mind's eye as being used for throwing a really large heavy arrow or spear... sort of like the mortar round of crossbows... perfect for warfare say a thousand years ago..
or skewering several deer or hogs at a time...
I like my phoenix..
but that is interesting ... it is a trip to see all the diff't ways to get the energy of a limb and string to an arrow.
the backwards facing bows make me think that there are new things to come up with... all the time...
