Hey all you string makers out there...I think I will try to reserve my crossbow string myself...I have served compound bow strings before...but I need to purchase some serving material and I think I want to use HALO. I noticed on a couple of archery supply websites that it comes in several sizes. What is the correct size for a factory crossbow string from excalibur...also any tips or words of wisdom would be appreciated...
thanks

I have tried it. Probably my second or third choice in serving material. I like Halo the best.Stosh wrote:I would like to know also.

Angel ASB Majesty Serving
Help Please?
Thanks, Stosh
Call Danny Miller and ask him about it. He has used it more than I have. . .probably has a better feel for it than I do.

.030" Halo works well but it has to be on super tight. So tight that a Cavalier Pro serving tool often breaks. You might be better off to use Angel Majesty .026" serving. It is black and the dye ends up staining the deck which will have no physical ill affect on your shooting. Depending on which bow you have regular crossbow serving may serve you well.
