Crossbows in The Olympics?

Will we see crossbow competition in future olympics, or will they be prohibited as in previous years?

BTW, does anyone else beside me think that this is more than coincidental that President Obama lost this bid for his adopted home town in light of the remark he once made about the Special Olympics on the Tonight Show?

Oh, right, blame Obama, and not the fact that the US has already hosted the Olympics half a dozen times over the years, is primarily responsible for the worldwide economic crisis, and most countries in the world just plain don't like the US for any one of a number of reasons you can list.

Nope, it's all because of a tactless slip of the tongue (which would have been pretty funny if ANYONE else had said it).

Seems like I read somewhere they don't allow compounds in the Olympics either.
