What Will Be New on the 2010 Excal Hunting XB's?

Post by Dave1 »

Is it too early to learn what will be coming out on the new 2010 Excalibur hunting crossbows? Will there be any changes? When will they be out?

Thanks, Dave

I doubt there will be any major new changes, hard to improve on perfection, lol.

You are not giving them much incentive. :-)

Then the Canadian GOV would make us put a pin in it so it would only hold two shots.

thats only 5 lbs more than their 225 models, i think Bill T said they were the most poundage he would build. i think its going to be full camo on couple models and the thumbhole counter part of vixen. really not alot more that can be up graded unless its some new limb technology

Really hard to improve anything but I would like to see Bill invent a "quick release" system for the scopes so that one could take off the scope for travel and then be able to put back on without re-setting the scope; I do mean the base plate and all;

Bow limb technology has changed a lot over the years. Limbs are more durable and efficient now than ever before. It would be good if the technology could again be improved to provide more response, more arrow speed, etc. with less noise and vibration.

How about a better and more ergonomically improved stock design? The square boxy forearm and the cheek/butt area of the stocks could use some sprucing up to look, fit, and feel better. I like the thumbhole feature.

Plastic trigger??? Compared to others, the square edged plastic trigger looks and feels cheap. Seems a good high end product deserves better.

Change and improvement is always a tough challenge, but that is how we got to where we are at.

Thanks for the input folks, we are always interested in what our customers think and we are listening! That said, our trigger is NOT plastic. It is actually machined and anodized aluminum extrusion. If it was plastic we could mold it to be really fancy, but reliability is too important for that sort of cost-cuttting.
