Freaky Monday Night hunt.......and kill.

Post by bow4it »

I will try to make this a quick story.

I hunt real close to home in a rural area. There are some sweet spots that I like to use that are real close to the roads. Around 6:45 tonight, I had an 8 point walk up to me about 20 yards. He was no where near a trophy and I decided to pass. He walked around for about 10 min and hooked up with another deer. I saw them walk up the hill towards the road. A few min later, I hear a car coming to a sudden skidding stop. I can hear the faint sounds of car doors closing. Now I hear people talking and a woman saying I hit a deer. Some guy was saying the truck was fine and some other things. At this point I am out of my tree stand walking towards my buddy across the creek towards the incident. I hear the woman say thanks and she was just going to call her husband. Within a few seconds.......................my cell phone is vibrating. When I took it out, I saw that I was getting a phone call from my wife. Can you guess what she had to say.

It was the smaller deer........
Never again in a million years..........

I'm sorry to hear that. Honestly when I started reading this I never thought this was going to be the outcome. All I can say is "wow" and that I hope everything is ok.

Ahh, teaching your wife to hunt so that you don't have to hunt for your wife. Isn't that great

So what I am hearing is that it is your fault that your wife got into the accident with the deer. :) Just kidding.
