I like hunting by myself, but, not alone. I like people knowing where I am just in case.

Now that I carry a cell phone . . .my friends are with me everywhere I go. Only issue is when I left it in the woods.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
Perception trumps intention.

It really depends on the situation...I do enjoy the time alone with just my thoughts and the wonderful spirit of the woods all around me...But then I crave the time I have with my daughter during the firearms opening weekend...we spend the weekend with my hunting buddy and his daughter and it is really special...taking kids hunting is a blast... :D

I've always enjoyed solitude and the same for hunting. However I do have to admit that I do miss my family not hunting with me any more.
Keep smiling!

enjoy both ways but when you have another person you motivate each other. Best times are out with my dog. He likes crow and turkey hunting LOL

Well, I hunt alone a lot, because I live in an isolated location.

It really depends on who I'd be hunting with.

For instance, my trip to Indiana wasn't so much about hunting as it was about hunting with my brother.

There's a distinction there that only close siblings can understand.

In any case, I don't mind hunting with others when it's a "split-up and go off to your stand and meet up later" situation. In fact, in many ways that is safer and better than hunting by yourself. There are many real dangers in hunting alone here where I live. It takes a long time for rescue to even get to your house (sometimes as much as an hour) ... let alone out in the boonies.

ALONE------I focus more on everything...not worried about what time to meet back at the truck and all...gun hunting is different I like to pair up and outsmart the bucks..

Both.

I enjoy crossbow hunt alone, as well as with a partner or two. I find that that the added eyes in the bush really help increase your knowledge of deer movements. I might come down from my stand after seeing nothing, convinced that the area is a dud. Then I meet up with my partner who tells me about the 7 deer he saw passing along the fence line 100 yards behind me! I have one spot that is best suited to a single hunter; its just too hard to manage the scent-streams otherwise.

But what I enjoy most is my week-long rifle hunt at our hunt camp. Nothing beats the thrill of shooting a deer and having a group of your fellow hunters (16 in our case) there to lend a hand and celebrate along with you.

I like to hunt alone, but it sure is nice to have company when it comes time to drag one out.
Nothing like a cell phone for company on every hunt.
