I quickly ran some numbers.
Fixed blade broadheads have accounted for 263 kills with an average recovery of 58.05 yards.
Mechanicals have accounted for 109 kills with an average recovery of 46.87 yards.
Slick Tricks have the most kills for the fixed blade broadheads at 88.
Rage accounts for the most mechanical kills at 36.
The average recovery for the Slick Tricks were 49.12 and for the Rage it was 48.8.
I'm leaving for a week in the morning. If anyone want to know how a specific broadhead has performed, then wait until I get back. I'll do a better breakdown at that point.

I'd rather wear out than rust out.

I used a Phoenix X-bow, Excalibur firebolt, 100 grain Wasp fixed 3 blade broadhead. The shot was textbook! Hit a big Doe broadside at 20 yards through the lung, arrow went 1/3 the way in. It jumped straight up and came crashing down. It then recovered, ran and fell down about three times to rest about 60 yards in front of me.
Extreme hemoraging and I could see AND hear the gushing. However, I made a rookie mistake of getting out of my treestand too soon. I spooked it and spent hours that day and even the next day to finally never recover the Doe.
You may rest assured that I will only make a rookie mistake ONCE !!!!

Re: Broadhead data.
Sumner, I'd be interested in data on the 3 blade 100gr BOSS by wasp. Havent got the chance to shoot a deer with them but impressed with thier accuracy. They seem very small and made me curious as to how they would preform? Thought about trying slick trick 125 or bolt cutters but if the wasp preforms I'll stick with them. Thanks, Crispy
