Tenderloin at ten
I ate my dinner at 10 o'clock last night. I usually NEVER eat that late, but for venison tenderloin that is fresh from the woods to my BBQ, I made an exception . I shot the big ol' doe at 6 pm, but you know how it goes; by the time everything was sorted out, put away and cleaned up, the evening had turned to night.
With my belly full and my muscles sore from dragging the deer halfway back to my truck (thank goodness for the farmer and his utility vehicle ), I was ready to drift off into that kind of wonderful sleep that is reserved for contented babies and happy deer hunters .
