Big 6 Point Down !

Post by PABOWDUDE60 »

I finally got this guy after seeing him 2 other times.
I had a doe with her 2 little one come to me around 4:15, they fed and played for almost 30 mins before the walked off. I gave them another 5 mins and then I used my can call. About a min later he came down the same trail. He went down into a paw-paw patch below me. Luckily the down hill thermals sent the doe in heat scent to him .He cam e out on the trail below me at 20 yds but some branches were in my way. He made a scrape there and then started walking to my scent wick. I drilled him at 19 yds.He took off and ran about 10 yds and stopped. He looked around like another buck gored him. When he tried to run again his legs got all wobbily and he only made it another 20 yds and crashed. We weighed him at my buddies house , 175 dressed, 16 3/4 in spread. Too bad he broke some points off the right beam. It doesn't matter to me though !!!

Now I'm done in PA with 17 days of vacation starting on Friday. Looks like it's time for a Delaware trip.
