Tritronics Sport Basic G3. It's all you'll ever need. You could say that Tritronics is the Excalibur of dog training electronics.

I have dogtra... But most will do the job..the most important thing is knowing how to use them..If you have never used them try this training cd.. http://www.totalretriever.com/ecollar.htm Mike lardy is very good at what he does. I have a friend Thad L from Min who does traing for a living he uses nothing else. He is sponsored by Pheasants for ever and know shis stuff.
There is a big difference on how you train males and females with a E-collar. Its very tricky you can screw up easy and ruin a good dog.please think on this carefully

collars

I know this might seem odd, but when I started training my german short-haired pointer pup with an electronic collar, I checked the "stimulation" levels in the palm of my hand. It will give you complete perspective when corrective action is called for.

Good one Sax

Actually when I first got mine I wanted to know what the dog would feel, ya I did it only on my leg. They give a good jolt, needless to say when you know what it feels like you tend to use it alot less.
