First Buck Down this Year!! 10 pointer!!!

Post by bowaholic »

Well, this is my first time posting as well with a picture so I hope it works.
Yesterday afternoon I decided to head out after thinking about it for 1/2 hr. I told my buddy I was going to head out and sit in the hardwoods as we have not sat in that area much this year and thought it would be different. My buddy advised that I should sit where he has been all season long...so I did and it paid off!!!. I had about 2 minutes of light left so I was getting all my items together and putting it away. I went to put my arrow in my quiver, attached it to my bow and started to lower my bow... all of a sudden at the corner of my eyes I see this buck come from under me to my left!! I couldn't believe it. So I started to bring my bow back, took out my luminox arrow and watched him slowly walk directly in front of me...he stopped right in behind a small cedar tree, i had no shot, I made a slight noise and he looked up and moved two steps!! perfect, I lifted my bow, looked thru the scope and lost him!!! He disappeared, I then noticed that I forgot to take off my caps on my scope, I slowly took them off and carefully lifted my bow back and aimed and put my arrow right in his spine!!! he dropped right there!!! Couldn't believe it!!! luckily my buddy was around and came and helped me take him out!!
It's a night I will never forget!!!
