Great read MikeP, Your stories are always top notch. Dont woory about spellin, I just misspelled top, but corrested it. Used to say not :oops: :lol:

I think your wife taking a missed shot was meant to be. There is a HUGE buck out there for her! and I hope/know she will get him

When my boys were young I would set up 2 treestands in the same tree, so I could coach them as well as see the the arrow impact on the deer. At the beginning I could hear them start to breath heavy etc...and shared what I had learned that helped me overcome buck fever. I would just tell them to smile. When they 1st saw the deer until they pulled to anchor smile. No more buck fever. I don't know why it works for us, but it does.

Congratulations to the Sweede. She had more presence of mind than I did this year. One of my limbs hit a tree and it cost me a deer that was a 20 yard chip shot.
