great morning trapping

a proud dad this am .my 11 year old emily went out to check traps this am with me .we got a nice double on beaver this mornig she seen me throw one over my shoulder and said i can carry one for you dad .so i lift one up and she wraps it aroundf her neck with a for paw in one hand and a hind paw in the other hand just like a scarf .and away she went this is 40lbs we are talking about any way she made me very proud here is a shot of her

no time to hunt deer this time of year as we are having a big problem with beavers this year again DUTCH

She must be tough! A beaver is not easy to carry!

I have still not set any traps this year with the fur markets so low. I trap for fun, but it's at least nice to make enough to pay gasoline & expenses.

Is that a Belisle 330?

Nice to see you involving your child in the art of trapping(Check out my tag line at the bottom of my post). You will have to get her on the next trappers course so she can become your 2nd on the line. My son and I managed to haul our quota of 96 out already but don't expect to make a whole lot. Maybe enough to pay for the quads gas.

Awww my pet beavers eh!!

Congrats, I haven't set a trap in some years, I did buy my license this year and plan to reduce the number of raccoons in my area some.
