Son gets deer!

Post by barrierreef1972 »

A couple of weeks ago I posted some pictures of some deer that my son said were his hit list. After a couple of close calls with this big boy it finally came together this morning. He was using a Knight KP1 30-06 with Rem. 180 gr Core Lokts at 110 yards. Dropped him in his tracks. Hunting over a wheat, clover, and chickory plot. "Beats Dad deer!" I've heard that a couple of times today.

OUTSTANDING!

I agree with Vix, I love seeing children have successful ventures out in the woods.

I have to apologize to MikeP, Crazyfarmer, and all the other successful hunters on the forum, but in my book, this is the DEER of the YEAR. A big congrats to that youngster.

Congrats to your boy. That is a lot of lead for a young guy to throw. Obviously he doesn't flinch. :)
