Finished with a ghost

Post by sidewinder »

Good luck to all. My hunting season is over. It was a good year with a large 8 point and a decent 6 point. The six pointer showed up in the fog and rain last night and appeared 20 yards away without making a sound. It was amazing to be looking out from my stand and suddenly there is a deer right in front of me broadside. I couldn't tell how long he was there. I just turned my head for split second and when I looked again he was there. A gift from mother nature. Thanks to Excalibur my new exomax was deadly accurate. I know it was only twenty yards but the shot was exactly where I wanted to hit the deer. He ran twenty five yards towards my tractor and dropped. Bill you were right I switched to the boltcutters and they definitely fly better than the Thunderheads.

To all
Have a safe hunting season and a Merry Christmas.

Congratulations! Deer have a real nack for showing up and disappearing in a split second!
