first day of gun season in Ohio and I'm sick

Post by wabi »

And I have spent it in bed except for a visit to the doctor.
Really severe sinus infection, cough, joint pain, the symptoms that make a warm bed a lot more appealing than the deer woods.
Doc says it should let up soon with the meds he prescribed, but I may not hunt for a few days and I'm not sure it's all that bad to miss it.

Wabi

I am a doctor of motoroligy; but can still diagnose your ailment.

You are suffering from O.L.D. a problem we all might contact, if we are so lucky!

Get well soon my electonic friend!!!!!!

Sorry you're sick, bud.

Lots of mess going around here, too. Feel like I'm fighting something off myself.

Get well soon! :D

I am in the same boat. I have had the flu since Thanksgiving and today was our shotgun opener,Thursday and Friday are a controlled hunt at a local reservior. Hopefully I will be up and aroundby then.

Have a speedy recovery Wabi.

Sorry to hear your sick Mike.

If it is any consolation, the big old full moon is really affecting the deer movement. We heard only a few shots this morning and only a couple tonight. The Swede and I just got in the door.

We saw one buck this morning, a little basket eight and about eight doe's.

We only saw three doe's tonight.

Thinking about hunting the middle of the day around here tomorrow, always have had luck doing that during full moons. We are still after the buck that Annie missed with the arrow.

Hope you feel better, don't rush it. We still have the following weekend for shotguns and muzzleloader after that.

I feel your pain... I had to go to the doctor last night. Ive been battling a sinus infection for 3 days with no luck. Finally got some drugs to take and feeling a little better today. Still sick, but well enough to get back out hunting tomorrow morning

At least the meds the doc gave me are killing the pain!
Must be a good antibiotic, there was a 5 day supply in the package - 6 pills! Take 2 the first day, then one a day for the next 4 days.
The cough syrup is the pain reliever. Codeine just sort of puts the world in slow motion!
Not sure I'd want a loaded gun in my hands while I'm taking it, though!

At least we still have plenty of deer season left. Another weekend of late gun season, then a 4 day muzzleloader season in January, plus archery season runs until Feb 7.

Hope you feel better soon! Today was first day of rifle in Pa. also, hardly any shooting but lots of rain. Hope I can hold off the sickness alittle longer.

well if it makes ya feel any better today was my worst gun opener ever.Didnt hear shots until 45 mins. into the season which is unusual around where I hunt..typicaly you hear shots 5 mins into the season- and heard 10 shots for the next 3 hours and that was it :?
I didnt see one dang deer this morning.Just not enough people pushing deer around me.
