European Mounts - My first efforts

I decided to play with some European mounts prior to having the palmated buck done in this fashion. I had a couple of smaller racks on boards so I took them off and used a kit from mountain mikes http://masterofskulls.com/ to see what they would look like.

I have to say, I think I am going to like this style and it will be a welcome addition to the office.

They do look good. I'm going to try one of those. I going to request extra small to make the horns look bigger.

I like those dipped heads too.

What are those replacement skulls made of?

The palmated buck is being cleaned by the bugs as I write this, it will be the actual skull grizz.

These replacement skulls are made of a dense plastic and I have to admit they really look good.

Boy, those dermestid beetles are freaky, aren't they?

I'd hate to have a massive, paralyzing stroke and fall over into a bin of those suckers!

Looks good, makes a real nice mount.

Keep us posted on the palmated, that should be beautiful mount for sure.
