The Griswalds

Post by saxman »

So I'm in my blind and it is raining the wind is howling,PERFECT a front, maybe some deer will move.
Wait a minute, what is that sound,a chainsaw? NNOOOOOO
YEP a chainsaw and not to far off either.
so I get out of the blind and backtrack to the Jeep.
I go around to where I heard the saw and I see a Utility Truck.
I asked if they were doing any saw work,no problem if they are, they are across the hard road from my lease and well within their rights to do so.
Then I hear it again just down the road but on the Lease side.
I drove down there and sure enough, there is a truck.
I lock my Jeep, get my sidearm and go to the sound of the saw.
There is a Mother, father and 3 little kids,Dad had found a small evergreen tree for a Christmas tree, they had no money to buy one.
I told him he was tresspassing on private property and all through the woods around him were rednecks with high powered rifles and scopes and a littering problem. Not to bright for him or the kiddies.
He apolagized,I helped him load the tree in his truck and ended my hunt at that stage.
Wow,what a weired couple days at the Lease.
I told him to make sure there was no squirrel in the tree,it might scare his mother to death.
PLAY BALL :D :D :D

Nice of you to help, but it sounds like Dad was a bit careless in his haste to get a tree.

Mine are more like Eddie Haskell.

He is the one on the left. Of course Beaver is in the middle and Wally on the right.

As Mick Jagger so aptly observed:

Sax, that was big of you. Sometimes helping others costs us.....and I think that is good.

Funny thing is my wife and I are just now watching Christmas Vacation. Griswalds house is getting raided by the police for the kidnapping of his boss.

Cousin Eddy strikes again.

I picture him in his boots and bathrobe in the early morning fog with the cleanout hose from his RV as it pumps into the sewer with beer in hand and the neighbor watching
And he says.
