Nice pig. I have never hunted them, do you try to shoot them in the neck?

One of them weighed 85lbs and other weighed 65lb, and yes I do try to shoot them in the neck or head so I don't damaged the meat. Since I shoot a 30-06 it can do some real damage....  :D

That is a big gun for a little pig! Is that a common choice
? What grain bullet do you use?

You wouldnt say that after a 300lb boar puts you up a tree! I always say: shoot them in the body and the head will run off...shoot the in the head and the body drops in their tracks!

Since I'm deer hunting thats what I carry, but if a piggy comes through he gets the same treatment a deer does, 150 grain bullet and he's going down.

Boy, I don't know, Crispy. You may think you wish you had them ... but when you see the damage they can do to an ecosystem, you might change your mind. Picture your favorite woods or ridge rototilled, and you've got the idea! :? :(

We've got 'em in some local places ... and I sure hope they never get established anywhere near my farm!

There is no gun too large to use on pigs.

I really should have the Swede take a photo of my right butt cheek and show everyone the huge scar courtesy of a large boar. But as you know, I have to be careful with any photos I post here.

Wounding a large boar and tracking him is very dangerous. He is stronger, faster and in my case, smarter then the hunter. And he can kill you.

Never underestimate these animals.
