Use to be able to type in under search ( for example )

All I get now is nothing meets my search criteria or something like that ?
What am I doing wrong ???

well when i just tried searching for "pelee" the post above came up 
only thing i can think of is that some posts got deleted with the switch over?

I can find it if I search back 14 , 15 pages ... but what a pain !
I'm explaining a particular post to someone ... and I use to be able to search a past subject with authors name and bingo , I'm there ... but now NG ?

It seems like the search function isn't including the posts that were made before the switch over....

I messed around with it and was able to go back to the year 2005 on some posts I was looking for.
