Man ... things are messed up ??

Post by R.J. »

It's gotta be me ?? .... I know the forum has changed , but ... I'm using Vix's advise and have my settings somewhat like it use to be ... but still many things are screwed up for me ??

Takes forever to bring up posts ? ( maybe my PC ? Never use to be like that ? )

Some peoples avatar's take up my whole screen ?

Cant search ?

What am I doing wrong ??

I have the avatar problem.I think its how/where the members get their avatar from? but no delay in bringing up posts. I find the search is as frustrating as it was before.

The avatar problem is they should resized to max of 120x120 pixels and I think it says max of 900x900.

The avatar thing drives me crazy, I don't know why those with screen size avatars just don't fix it. Mine was like that too, I just went in to my profile and deleted it.

Get a 10yr old kid to have a look at it. They could probably figure it out faster than us older folks. It scares me how "second nature" computers are to kids these days.

I can't search either, I just entered the standard text I use to look up specific posts I use for reference, tried both formats of the forum and I am getting zero results.

I am so glad all of you have brought up these problems---because I thought it was me all this time.It has gotten a little better since the original changeover but I have to go to board index on main page to change from e.g. crossbowhunting to the trading post. was much easier before--for my feeble brain.

Mine is working fine and I'm now able to add an avatar for the first time in a year. Try this: Delete your old avatar. Delete the "900 X 900" in the box at the bottom of the avatar setup page. Select your avatar and submit. That's all I did and it's all working perfectly. Gary

Hopefully those with large avators will catch it soon and fix them to the proper size!

You can also choose to not display avatars in your user control panel under board preferences. I'd rather the size be limited because I like to see avatars.
