Arrow flight problem..

Post by Hoss »

I use for now lazer2 arrows with brass inserts from Dan Miller with 125 grain field tips, 4 inch vanes. 20 and 30 the flight looks good but I notice at 40 and 50 that Im getting a wobble or fishtail in my arrow. my POI is off as well..everything is tight Boo string 200lb exomag..I have not noticed this in the past and it has me puzzled.. I did a search and didnt find much anybody got any ideas..

Ck the BH cutout to make sure the limb pocket material is trimmed . Because vanes & feathers will hit it & make arrow fishtail. Another thing is sometimes if there is too much helical the vanes will hit the arrow slot

hmmm, same arrow set up as mine, but I got 175 lbs. bow & use 4" vanes.---Mine sail sweet at 50 & 60 with broadheads. Not that I'd ever shoot that distance at an animal, but I do practice that.

The riser arrow cutout the limbs bolt onto. Its the plastic limb pocket materail tends to have vanes hit them as the arrow is shot

I see thank you......

However my friend Boo has just hit the nail on the head on this one..

i just got these arrows from Dan M and the problem just began with the new arrows. Don mention that I am not getting any guidance at the tail. I went and checked the offset and there ya go..the new arrows are straight fletched no offset. my other arrows are 4 degree offset and they fly fine,, i will call Dan tomorrow.

Thanks folks for the quick help you guys are awsome..that was fast
