deer wrestling (poll)

Post by chris4570 »

A guy at work says he can wrestle a deer to the ground. I say he doesn't stand a chance. A deer is not a cow.
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.

An unhurt Buck of 250 lbs will win this fight. I had a great Uncle that shot a good sized Buck many yrs ago. Used shotgun with buckshot & he had only one arm the other was cut off at tha elbow. Well the Buck weren't dead & he started to field dress it! They fight was on the Buck finally died from the gun shot but my Uncle spent almost a month in the hospital after surgry!

Had a friend shot a buck in black power season and walked up to it and sat on it. Buck got up and ran with him on it's back screaming for help. Deer then went down from his gun shot hit. Then dragged deer out to truck :) :)

Maybe when "pigs fly" !!!

Those who remember the video shot by the wife of the hunter who sprayed himself with buck lure, and got trounced by the deer will know. Anyone would be hard pressed to be able to even wrestle a buck half that size, let alone a 250lbs. wild animal.

You deer hunting nuts are always trying to make it that much more challenging :D .

My vote is yes, as long as the deer splits the bottle of rum with ya.

Got to Pa in '85, left in '88 so somewhere in that time span met a young guy that was an apprentice carpenter w/ co I was working for. He took up bow hunting and have to admit he really put some work into it.

He came in one Monday a.m. all beat to h*ll. His story was he ran out of arrows missing deer and when a 6 pt walked under his stand, he jumped down w/ a 12" Crescent wrench to knock it in the head.

Didn't get a lick in, lol.

He did get a couple later in the year or next year w/ arrows, however.

Maybe if you were Mongo From blazing saddles
About thirty years ago a buddy and i was at the local pub and a guy come in stating he had just hit a buck.
well we looked at each other and said "back straps" went to get the deer .
we got there it was still alive with 2 broken back legs dragging itself through the field.
so i said " I'll grab it by the antlers you slice its throat" having enough liquid invincibility in us it sounded good .
so i grabbed the antlers and not being in the right state of mind , when i felt the power of this animal i should of
let go. but you know i didn't that deer flung me like a rag doll  !!!! my buddy just about died laughing at me as i stood up.the strength of that deer was amazing , it gained more respect from me and lesson learned.

i had a deer mag that had deer attack stories in it....one story was were a buck tore a guy into pieces when he was out picking blue berries and spread him out over a 15 x 15 foot area....then his sheriff buddy went to go look for him after his wife called and said he didn't come home hours ago....he had to empty his revolver into the buck killing it or he was next....every story had the neck hairs on me standing on end.............bob
