Don't think this will help our sport

ELEVATION ADJUSTMENT ( Selecting the correct yardage tape)
Your Optimizer Ultra comes complete with 44 different computer designed yardage
tapes. They are numbered on the top from 29 (extremely fast bow) to 72 (moderately
slow bow) and are accurate at all ranges (20-60 yards) within ½ inch.
THE PERFERRED MOST ACCURATE system for choosing the correct yardage tape is
by sighting in at 20 yards and 60 yards. If you are able to sight in at 20 and 60 yards use
the instructions on the back side of this page. If you are UNABLE to sight in at 20 and 60
yards, use the optional 20/40 yard system shown on the green instruction sheet.

I don't think this will be very practical at all. It is because of the proximity of the elevation wheel to the grooves for the string cocker at the rear of the stock. I don't think there is any way a person could use a rope cocking aid with this sighting device installed.

I think the idea has merit - would sure be handy for 3D where you shoot those longer distances. It would allow the use of a single set of crosshairs. I would just wonder if competitors would be able to read your range estimation too easily from the tape as you go to shoot?

That could help if you fudged the numbers and remember that the actual numbers are off and by how much :)

I was thinking that... or maybe somehow make the tape less legible?

I wonder if they'd be allowed in xbow for 3D?

Gee. I wish we had 3-Ds to shoot xbows at in our area. You guys/gals are lucky.

3D is fun! I hope you find some in your area eventually.

Do you have to targets at your range? Can you set up some targets in some woods you hunt? Get some pals together and challenge each other to some "bet you can't make this shot" kind of duels and have fun! :D

Definitely won't be a choice for the responsible hunter.
But to put one on and have some fun doing long target shots would be the only reason I see to have one.
I guess we'll see if the product stays around for a while.

It's a neat idea. Anyone who is into serious 3D shooting, and can afford it, shouldn't be detered by the $230US price tag.

Wow expensive. Someone on this forum was making them long ago. Guess he should have put a patent on them
