Update:
So i went into the stand this afternoon and wasn't to excited after seeing a ton of coyote tracks all over the field and in particular surrounding my bait pile. At 4:45 I heard some walking behind me and out stepped a doe. She walked in front of me and ate at my bait pile. Following closely behind was her fawn. The doe was to my left at 25 yards and the fawn to her left at 30 yards from me. I had no intention of taking either deer, I have passed on numerous does this season. 10 minutes later something got both their attention out came this guy. He stopped to my right at 25 yards. I slowed put my bow up, this was difficult with three sets of eyes watching but I knew I had to take him now or he was gone. As I raised my bow the doe took off running I put the cross hairs behind the front shoulder and let a quick shot go. I knew he was hit and knew it was a pass threw I could see my lumenok glowing brightly 25 yards in front. I watched him for about 60 yards and he disappeared into the bush.
After 30 mins I got down and took up the poor blood trail, I have been using the Hammer SSt wasp 100 grain for years but for some reason this is my second buck this season with a really poor blood trail. I had blood for the first 45 yards then it was gone. I followed fresh tracks into the bush but unfortunately there was very little if no snow in the bush. I decided to check the creeks edge and found him 15 yards from the water.
