Down too the wire

Post by Doe Master »

:( Had someone hunt one of my stands then steal my steps . :(
Which in turn forced me to hunt one of one of my other stands .
The morning started with me hearing a deer breaking through the ice between me and OLD BUCK .
The deer ended up coming my way . :)
It did not present the best of shots but beggers can`t be choosers . :)
It left a VERY sparse blood trail but we kept going .
We eventually found it . :D
Image
I had to have a Crazyfarmer picture done. :D

Here is a picture for the contest with a tag.
Image
A picture of me dragging its arse out . :)
Image
Finally a picture of me and dad with the deer that was big enough to ride home in the back of my JEEP .
Image
Not a bad way to finish 2009 . A couple of good hunts with friends and family for turkeys and deer . :D

Congrats Kevin! We didn't get your text until the phone was actually turned on in the afternoon. Boy, you got a freezer full of meat this year and more points for Team DryFire. :D Nice that you had snow to drag on.

So in that dragging pic you're "walking on water"?

CONGRATS!!!! Made the past week of hunting in the cold temps worthwhile! You and your Dad put in a lot of hours in all sorts of weather. Am glad you scored!

I was out today, but saw nothing. Found out afterward that some kids had been out the night before (until midnight) with their ATV in the field and woods. So it went from no deer to even less deer out there! lol  Oh well!

Turkey season is coming up and I know some of your secret hunting locations now.... heh heh heh.... :D

I thought you were dragging it down a road and wondering why you just didn't drive there to pick it up :?

Congrats! And great pics!
