270 WSW. Browning A bolt stainless steel. Best gun I've ever owned. Shot moose, bear and deer with it. Shoots super flat.

Shotguns are the most useful tool but for survival I'll take a 22 rimfire for the practicality of being able to carry and store a lifetime of ammo.

Of the guns I own, I'd choose my Ruger 77-22 bolt-action.

A rugged .22 rimfire is what I'd want in my kit if I were thrown into a "survival" situation. 8)

Single shot .22 Hornet, light weight packs nice wallop fer its size. Box of 50 about same size as 22 mag. & so easy to neck size fer reloading. I have killed many a deer with one, Well i will now pick my hunting surviving tool. Savage 24V 22 Hornet over 20ga 3" combo! Cha Ching!
Boo's pick of the 22 would be a very good choice over all, as there isn't any game animal in North America that can't be taken. Bricks of ammo would be much less weight & burden than boxes of shotgun shells. What is the case on 22 12,000 I killed many deer while squirrel hunting with my old singe shot win.

I would want to keep both my crossbows to keep deer meat on table and then my Rem 870 for small game , home defense and Turkey meat .

I would have to go with my Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag. It has taken more deer than any other weapon I have and it totes easy. I can only shoot as far as I can see anyway.

Oh, and thanks for letting me keep my Excals.

What are we surviving against? Zombies, plane crash, lost in the woods?
