Shed season began today.

Post by FredBear »

Yesterday was the last day to hunt here. So today a new hunt started. The hunt for sheds. I have been training my puppy for the last 5 monthes to be a shed hunter. He did GREAT today!!! Here are some pictures from his first morning a field.

Very Cool!! :) Thats a good looking Pup there.
I remember when mine was that young. He's in my avatar now.
He's getting up there, but still acts like a pup. :) And if I say lets go out, he freaks out, and dang near crawls up my back waiting to get out, in any weather. :D

Yes we had a good time. He has alot of puppy in him :P We have been working with antlers just about everyday for 4-5 months. We still have alot of work to do! He did great for an 8 month old dog, who had never been out "hunting" before. Thanks for all the kind words!

Great idea. Now is the time. Before we know it, the snow and cold will be gone and the spring growth will make things much harder.

When sheds hit the ground here they only last a day or two until all the critters chew them up.

Good for you, getting out with your best friend and making a sport out of it. First time out I think that pup did great. Congrats!
