Response to an "anti"

Post by ninepointer »

These links should work now (thanks Bugs!)...

The "anti's" letter:

The response letter:

OK, here's the challenge to every hunter on this board. Make a commitment to do at least one thing per year to assert and protect your right to hunt and the rights of the next generation of hunters. For example, write a letter or email to the newspaper, your MPP/political representative, your municipality, speak or submit written comments at a public meeting, whatever. Once per year, that's all. Just do it! :D

Very good Derek! The anti is a classic case of a severely uniformed person who has, as you stated, lost touch with the world around us. I've written several letters to the paper over the years in rebuttal to anti-hunting and anti-gun articles. Got to keep both sides of the story out there. Keep it up!

Excellent response Ninepointer. You done good. Those kind of people annoy me, hard to respond without getting to wired up!
Thank you! But if I meet them face to face, things aren't nice either, but they get my point quickly.

If that was you that wrote that response letter, then well done ninepointer! Im alot like John, I become "wired up" when encountering a situation like that. But you handled it VERY well.
Your Idea is a great one.

I could have never said it better. One of the problems is that the general public don't realize that most hunters and fishermen are serious conservationists and NOT just after the so-called kill!!!

It's a frame of mind!!!!

Very good in the response to the anti well written Ninepointer and well done in not letting your emotions get the better of you.

I have noticed a allot of interest in general when I tell co-workers and friends that I hunt and take pride in how I process and prapare my wild game.I have been told they would feel safer doing it themselves with all the recalls and safety issues with factory farms "ORGANIC" is in. :D
