i know i don't have a lot but i did get a taste
after the morning turkey hunt we went for a walk to look for Indian artifacts and morels found neither until we stopped at my mothers and found these in the back yard. i wish there was a way to grow them

Despite the commercial to the contrary, they have NOT been successfully grown in marketable quantities. Morels are the (fruiting body) of a fungus whose growth and habitat preferences has stymied the best mycologists. And that's what makes 'em special

As I told him in a PM, I don't have any personal experience with those morel kits, but they've been advertised for a long time.

Sounds like you must really know your mushroom stuff.

i will check this out a little and may give it a try would be nice to at least get a feed once a year. i know my dad was a real lover of the outdoors and knew every spot morels grew in a 10 square mile area around home .i remember going out with him before i was in school .he died in 68 and i was 9 and had better things to do at the time and just forgot all his spots he could also show you where to find fernheads puffballs and wild asparagus and every little nook and deep pool to catch fry pan speckles.the morels that grow at my mothers i think grow there because i dumped a couple tandem loads of topsoil at the back of her lot that i got of a farm where i was clearing bush and since then they started to show up
