Got to meet another Forum memeber today...

Post by TPM »

Made a trip to Bass Pro today to meet up with fellow forum member "roly" today. He was kind enough to donate a beautiful handmade potato bin he made for the turkey contest I was fortunate enough to the winner. :D Bass Pro is about halfway between roly and us and since we were due for a "Bass Pro trip" we thought we'd kill two birds with one stone. Of course we ended up doing more yakking than shopping but that's okay. :D We've met many members of this forum and I'm always impressed with the kindness and generosity of the people here. It's always been a good experience and today was no exception. Look forward to meeting up again!
Our son was so excited when we got home and he saw the new bin. Our next door neighbour has a similar one and he always thought it was cool. Now he can't wait to tell her we have one too! Oh, to be 5 again... :D

Nice. :D

We've got around 4,000 acres of 'taters around here this year.

Come on down and fill that bin up! :P

Congrats. And by the way cherish them when they are young, they grow up way to fast and then they are gone off on their own.

Very nice prize. :) Glad you got to meet some more great people on this forum. A trip to Bass pro can get expensive so maybe more talking less shopping is a good thing. Very generous of some members to donate all the prizes here. Congrats you deserved it.

It was a real treat to meet Rick in person! We could have spent the whole day just chatting and getting to know each other. We hope it's not the last time our paths cross.

We didn't escape Bass Pro "unharmed"... Spent a few dollars. I found some gloves that actually sort of fit and bought my very first pair of women's hunting pants from the SHE line that they're now carrying. Tim got a great new t-shirt (you'll have to ask him to share photos), and some knives (can't resist when they're on sale. :D )

We had other fun at the store too. Here's Ben enjoying the attention of the "fishing guide":

... and "test driving" and ATV:

No, but he'd had some "fishing for Brittanies" experience. Thanks for mentoring...

I like that! Fishing for Brittanies!! :)
I have a problem with Bass Pro. There is no possible way for me to walk in the door and not spend more than I'm aloud!! Mostly now, the wife must shadow my every move in there. Or things just show up in the cart! :)
Vix: Ben looks an aweful lot like you now.

Hey Rick,

Below is a "copy and paste" of a post I recently put on my Shelby forum:

Posted 05 June 2010 - 11:42 PM

"First, I want to thank Chuck (1sweetazzgt500) for the high quality Micro Fiber detailing cloth he gave me last week as a gift. It landed in the back seat for for some future detailing use, or so I thought.

We enjoyed a nice dinner with a couple we know. After dinner I took Rick for a Super Car ride because they had asked numerous times for such a pleasure. Rick WAS very impressed.

When we arrived home Michelle his Korean wife was eagerly waiting in my driveway for her turn. She literally did a cartwheel trying to push Rick asside to get in for the next ride.

On the first Expressway onramp I thought I would give Michelle a real GT500 taste. I think I must have hit 170 KPH (100 MPH) three quarters of the way down. Michelle was shrieking the entire way. I slowed after merging to a normal speed because of traffic. Michelle now tells me she just peed her pants. I thought it was just a compliment for that onramp blast. Out of the corner of my eye I catch her looking between her slightly spread legs. I then said cautiously said "did you really" ? She said "yes, I'm so sorry"

All I did was reach back and grab that nice fluffy soft towel that Chuck gave me and said "here sit on this". We soon arrived home and Rick and my wife laughed their asses off over the situation. New shorts were offered by my wife.

Thanks Chuck, your gift came in handy. LOL

Be care guys when taking newbie girls for such a Super car ride.

It can happen to you!"

Rick, I hope that I don't scare the crap out of you
