Just watched it. Bill T was the instructor. Pistol grip model but no poundage, apples for targets at 10, 20, 30, and 40 from a rest.

Two guys in a shoot off, 1st to hit all 4 apples won. Both missed a few times. I'd bet everyone on this forum would have cleaned both their clocks, lol. They were big apples.

They showed arrows going through the center of the apples at all 4 ranges, my guess is Bill was giving them a demonstration, just a guess since one couldn't see the shooter.

I was waiting for a dry-fire. Wonder if there was one and they cut it out. Bill never said there was but they were cocking and loading pretty fast.

Bill did a great job. They introduced him as something other than the owner of Excal. Something to do with championship shooting I believe. The only thing I saw that said Excal was a quick shot of a scope. He gave instructions and some history about crossbows, and watched the competition.

The bows were Phoenixs, just standard line stuff except for the arrows we used to explode the apples. They were Firebolts with big HTM rubber blunts. We made lots of applesauce with that high speed camera running!
It was a fun experience and I hope that it showed crossbows in a good light to a lot of interested viewers. They forbid me using anything with the logo on and told me in advance that they probably wouldn't say I was from Excalibur, either they had a heart and showed the scope bell, or the made a mistake, but either way I appreciated it.

bill
great job so they were excals good to have more pos exposure with the public

deer and deer hunting had also a good editorial concerning xbows
maybe with goood education and press we can lessen the neg impact.
and up with the good..........

question bill u said they were using rubber blunts ...how did the get em to stick in the wood around the last apple shot?
maybe blasted thru the rubber and shaft just stuck......

maybee your gonna come out with a rubber broadhead line next....hahahahhaha

any ways too bad they had scopes on em peeps would have made it harder
for em maybe bigger time slot eh??

Notice the string silencers (not STS) on em? Tried em on my Equinox but they went flying shortly.

We used target points and blunts for the shots there, and the hit in the wood was to duplicate a shot by Brad at 40 yards. Stuck into the wood pretty good, eh!
Cossack, FYI if the silencers fly off your crossbow, they were put on wrong, the thread that holds the two pieces together breaks on firing unless you pinch the fleece disks between the strands of the string.

I posted the link on the Michigan Crossbow Federation Facebook page. There is no mistaking the big clear letters EXCALIBUR on the scope shot. Yay!
