Really. Been to busy with honey-do list to notice (so I can be 'free' by Sept 15).
Best start shooting TWICE a day, instead of just once :D

It's a few more than 85 for us in Ontario. Which in some respects is a good thing. I have plenty on the go right now. Would like to get my stands out soon, but I'm pretty sure it will be later than I want. I have been seeing plenty of deer driving to work in the past few days. Gets me all charged up. Stoney creek mountain seems to have a healthy deer population. Might have to start knocking on some doors.

61 days for me on the other side of the mountain in Northern VA. It opens September 4 for four weeks of antlerless only before the full opener on October 2.

Yesterday I broke out the vertical bow for a few (3) practice shots. Today I pulled it back out and lowered the draw weight down to 60#. Starting out at 70# is a bit much on my shoulder. Heck, 60# is so much easier that I may leave it there. Maybe I'll have it cranked back up before the season starts.

I haven't seen any antlers to speak of, but I have seen plenty of deer on the roads this summer.

Today my 14 year old son officially cocked my ExoMax for the first time. That means I'll probably have more time with the vertical bow this season. He took his first two with the Max so he is sold on it.
