175 slick tricks

Post by M&M »

for those of you that have had a chance to try the 175gr slick tricks out what do you think of them? do you think they are too heavy? I know there are some that love the 150gr boltcutters. I have been shooting the spitfires for several years but each year I still search for a fixed blade broadhead that will shoot as accurate but havent found it yet, if I find one I would rather shoot a fixed blade broadhead

i'm sure any of the regular slick tricks 100, 125, 175gr will fly good from any crossbow due to there small blade profile....if i went to the 175's from the 125's i'm using now i can take the two 25gr weights out from behind the GT brass insert in my arrows....slickt tricks use the same blades in all there std BH's and just add the weight to the steel body of the BH....if you can look at all 3 sizes next to each other you will see that....they made them for people using alum inserts to add at least 50gr to the front of there arrows to increase FOC over brass inserts i believe when using 100gr or 125gr BH's....the 125's with brass insert on my arrows blow a 2" hole in and out of deer.......bob

I have been shooting 2216 easton bolts and thought the boltcutters or the new slicktricks might fly pretty good but just wanted some input from those that have tried them

i found the 2117 alum arrows had the same I.D. as the GT2's carbon arrows the GT brass inserts fit....i can slide them in my 2117 shafts and they stay without glue but i glue anyway.........bob

I have been shooting the 175 gr tricks for 2 weeks now on fire bolts and they fly great are well made and have more cutting diameter than the bolt cutters.
I am taking them to the woods this fall for the real test but so far I like them a lot.
