You made me go back and look at my feeder pics.
I've been watching a brute of a buck grow his antlers as he visits nightly.
The late August pics had him still in velvet ready to sprout more points on his massive antlers - But, sadly, his velvet has shed in the September pics and the growth is finished for the year. Looks like I'll have to settle for an old tough buck if I want the brute to develop better antlers next year.

I have had my cameras out since the middle of July, and I got the first pictures of hard antlers yesterday.
