Ray & Tyler - CONGRATS on another great hunt together!

I got all choked up reading your post about the hunt. What a story! I'm so happy for both of you that you're able to be in the woods together this fall in spite of all the physical challenges you've had to face this past year. I'm doing happydances for you both (don't ask for video of that though! :oops: )

Good job Ray, I had an old long nose lady walk up to my stand but never got out in the open to get a shot.

Had lots of fun and sat in the stand on Sat. and took part in the first NC Sunday hunting that we have had as long as I know of.

The weather was good to us being cool over night and I may hit the woods Friday also.

Congratulations! Any deer taken while a kid is at your side is a trophy you will both share forever. That is true regardless of who pulls the trigger. Great job.

There's a new slang going around the schools lately and when I tried to help Tyler he kept repeating "ain't Happenin". You've met Tyler, would you imagine him doing any less? We went this afternoon and sat in a new blind and I left the crossbow hope. We had a doe come in at 44 yards and would not come a single step closer. I feel like it's going to happen for him here shortly.

I don't know how I missed this post for so long. Great story and what a son you have. I don't know if I could have passed in opportunity at a shot at a buck. My oh my you must be proud. Congrats!
