Household Debate

Post by whitetailseeker »

The big debate is on.In seven weeks the household will increase by one,a female springer spaniel pup and so the name debate begins. We have Oakley,Willow,Shiner,Montana. We have thrown so many names out there I forget half of them.Any favorites among the group here that can used in the field and around the neighbour?

Thanks

Use a one or two syllable name. What kennel is she out of?

Use a one or two syllable name.
Good advice. Dogs don't recognize words as words but as sounds. The simpler the sound the better the dog will do with it. To them there name is just an attention getting command.

Molly, the best, most loving, trainable springer ever. She was a runt but only in stature. Heart as big as all outdoors My son fell in love with her when we went to pick out pup. Tried to gently dissuade him, but he wouldn't budge. He was right, she was a joy to hunt. Cancer got her; she died doing what she loved doing best.
Every time I see the screwdriver with the handle she chewed as a pup I get a lump to my throat.
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!
