ComfyBear Custom String - New Edition

Yes it's true. It's been over three years, and no matter how hard I've tried they refuse to give up the ghost. However, with new materials available. I decided it was time to make a few new strings. With soft hands and great anticipation I ordered the next generation of string material.

The next thing I know "a NEW ComfyBear custom string was born".

Only time will tell, but if my hunch is correct, this breed is going to outlast even my previous ones.

HMPE = High Modulus PolyEthylene
It's the fibers used to make Dyneema and Spectra and Fastflight . The process of how the fibers are manipulated determine the stability of the resulting material.

Funny, if I wanted to smoke it, I suppose Hemp would have been a better choice.

However, the only thing that I what to smoke, is the arrow, and boy does it ever do that. I thought my other strings were fast, but this baby seems to make my Exocet175 shoot as fast as my Exomag.

Are you going to sell any? you had quit selling them when I joined this forum. I currently shoot and love Boo strings but own and use others also.

I like the brownell materials . . .that's the same stuff Wyvern has in their strings. May as well sell a few, you got more material than you'll ever use.

The last time I made strings, I just bought two spools. Thinking I had more string material than I could ever use, I decided to make a few for my forum friends as a favour. Well long story short, when word got around about the quality and low price of my custom flemish twist strings, I was inundated with orders. I ran out of materials and risked not having enough strings for myself. So I ordered another couple of spools. I made myself a few more strings, and with the orders still coming fast and furious, it didn't take long to use up the rest of my materials.

Lucky for me, that's about the time Boo started selling his strings on this forum. I was relieved, as string making was hard on my fingers and hands.

That was over three years ago. Don't really know if I want to do it again.

Was the first custom string that went on my Exomag in 2003. I bought a Boo string a couple of years after that and have been using them ever since .
