First Crossbow Kills
I wasn't able to hunt opening day (yesterday), but I made up for it today. I killed a couple of does with my Exomax this morning, and I am very impressed with xbow.

Congrats on the harvest - was it a doe and fawn, or two mature does?
Good eats there!

Niice. Looks like a head shot? Today it is raining today or I would have been out already.

Congrats! Nice double for sure!

Re: First Crossbow Kills
Being anxious to draw blood with my bow, I shot the first doe that came in, and it was a yearling. The shot on her was in the heart at about 25 yards, and it was a complete pass through. She ran about 30 yards, and I watched her drop.
I drug her back to my climbing stand and got ready again. About 45 minutes later, I had 4 more does come through, and one stopped in nearly the same spot in my shooting lane. When the arrow hit this doe, she hit the ground and rolled, and she was down right there. The arrow must have hit bone and didn't pass through, and when she rolled, my arrow broke in half. She was a mature doe.
My dog is actually a tracking dog, and my son brought her when he came to take my picture. She is very photogenic and draws the attention away from my ugly mug.
