I used to live just down the road from you in New Caney, just North of Humble.

It's a small, small world!
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4

I will be honest with you. I consider myself a "trophy hunter" and had decided a couple of months ago to pass on this buck, but when I saw on my game cam that he was hurt, I knew that either my son or I needed to shoot him. My son hunted for him Sunday evening and didn't see him, and I just happened to be the first to get a shot. :?

I have always found it interesting how the bodies on the east texas bucks are so much larger then the bodies on the bucks here in the west.
